Our United States National debt currently stands at well over $12 trillion dollars. And it is continually climbing higher and higher. Please feel free to view it using this link U.S. National Debt Clock. Have we, as individuals become so desensitized to the sound of “trillions of dollars” that it’s become virtually meaningless to us?
Strangely, the “Leader of our Nation” who is leading us further and further in to this destructive national debt, tells us as citizens to go out and spend money. Today our unemployment stands at 10.2% and we are in a recession. I’m left in absolute bewilderment at this man and his illogical statements. How much more out of touch can he possibly get with those who voted for him and those that most certainly did not?
Have you ever stopped to realize that one can bankrupt a country? I’m aware of two countries that were lead into bankruptcy, and they are Germany and Zimbabwe. Bankruptcy + Country = Marxist-Leninism, and we all know where that went – Communism.
Let’s fight to ensure the our U.S. national debt doesn’t lead us down the same road.

There is no sense of ‘common sense’ anywhere in Washington….as the dept climbs they continue to spend more….their only interest is paying off special interest that will ensure their reelection…..thank you Kathy for pointing out that they dont have OUR best interests in mind….it is THEIR selfish, power hungry egos that are bankrupting our country…..that is why it is important to VOTE THEM OUT IN 2010….keep up the good work…I look forward to reading your editorials in the future.

Thank you for your support and understanding of where our administration has taken us in these recent months. It is very important that the American voters understand the NEED to VOTE in a NEW CONGRESS in 2010, or we will continue in this downward spiral into Socialism leading us into a much worse scenario… the other end of the spectrum of FREEDOM, LIBERTY, and JUSTICE FOR ALL. The election is held to elect a President not a Dictator.
BTW~~ I didn’t vote for the guy, I don’t like big government… parties are irrelevant at this point.
Truly,
