I watched the debate today and now feel some what better informed regarding my concerns for Health care reform. Coming from one who had to fight for health insurance for my son, Ryan, who had a heart defect at birth, I understand Pre-existing conditions all too well.

Yes, pre-existing conditions need to be covered and covered now. We also need to stop needless medical malpractice law suits.

I would like to see a show of hands, if anyone in congress has walked in my shoes dealing with health concern for a loved one.

If you could find even one in Congress or Washington, who has personally dealt with such a problem, they would be able to solve this problem.

They would truly understand the pain of having a loved one sick and no coverage, and be determined to find solutions and silence the representatives that are content with rhetoric and will never make a difference. You just have to get out of their way and let them deal with this issue.

Bottom line, we don’t have the money in America at this time to address anymore than those two issues. Congress needs to stop grand standing; get real, this is a serious concern and not only has Congress not made any progress in dealing with this problem, their inactivity has created uncertainty in the business community.

Employers are afraid to hire new employees with no idea regarding the cost of future health care coverage demanded by the Health Care Reform.

Once we get our economy under control, people back to work and cut the needless spending in Washington, than we can look into additional health care reforms down the road.

My son Ryan lived to be 21 years old and has passed on due to his heart condition 1987. I had to work several jobs to make sure he always had insurance.

If you need someone to come to Washington to help close the deal, call me I would be happy to help. We can also talk about the home building industry which I have been a part of for over 36 years and I am watching this great industry crumble.

Truly,
