We at the Chronicle want to say Congratulations to one of our members of the Staff Cartoonist Gregory D. Rico .
Last month he won an award in Journalism, for his work in Cartoons. The award is called Golden Nugget of Free Journalism.

“The media’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.” – Malcom X, the Conservative
Mr. Rico’s work is from a political perspective, he was overlooked by the Pulitzer Prize Committee in the area of editorial cartoon excellence, that was their lost.
We at the Chronicle are honored to have two great cartoonist Mr Rico and Rob Smith Jr.
This award is for his work when he was at The Sacremento Union which has since closed down.
We have been proud of his work since he has joined our staff and look forward to his masterpieces in the future.
We believe that he will someday win the Pulitzer Prize in the area of editorial cartoon excellence.
His past work that won him this award is no longer available since the SU closed. You can get copies of them here at the Chronicle.
Here is a sample of what the awards committee saw:
Again, we are honored that he has joined our staff. We hope that you will enjoy his work along with our other cartoonist Rob Smith, Jr. who himself has won many awards.
We will also be introducing you to another cartoonist in the near future.
