How depressing is it that today’s American media continues to present clips of interviews or actions merely to promote their own agenda often failing to expose the truth about the actual interview or action. Most recently, we saw this with Cliven Bundy—you know, that racist cattle rancher out in Nevada (well, at least one of the two descriptions is correct).
I do not know Cliven Bundy. But what I do know is his most recent controversy really shouldn’t be controversial at all. But American media wants you to believe the man is some anti-Black hateful racist when in fact it appears he is anything but a racist hateful person.
The below is the video clip American media pushed which exposes some of his alleged hate speech. It comes from Media Matters for America:
Now that your blood is boiling seeing what a racist bastard Cliven is, let me show you the full clip. In watching the full clip and actually listening to his statements, any clear-level-headed person will realize the man is actually advocating the peace and prosperity for ALL persons which includes African Americans and Hispanics.
Mr. Bundy is not saying that blacks should be slaves picking cotton. He is using an example of work and that example of work is actually picking cotton. Probably the wrong example considering how overly sensitive many Americans actually are these days but nonetheless his example makes sense for those actually LISTENING.
Subsidies are destroying America and have crippled a large portion of our minority society an today such subsidies are far expanding into our total society and not just that founded inside minority communities. The federal government has created conditions for them so terrible; that their current situation may actually be worse today than the days of slavery. That is what Mr. Bundy is actually saying here. P.S. this has been going on for several decades and has NOTHING, whether anyone likes it or not, to do with our current administration.
This is the full clip media selectively did not want you to actually see:
Now, if you’re still reading this, let it be known that again, I have ABSOLUTELY ZERO affiliation with Mr. Bundy. I do not know the man at all. Let it also be known that I do not necessarily agree with some of his articulation or terminology used. But, I understand why he used it per his age, occupation, and place of abode. His societal upbringings socially conditioned him to use such terminology no differently than how gang-bangers-turned-rappers have often freely use the term “nigger,” or spelled through ebonics as “nigga,” in some of their music.
Is it wrong? Yes. Do I condone it? No. But does that make someone an actual racist? Absolutely not.
Its time Americans start listening to messages and not actual words. We would be surprised what we can actually learn about someone in doing just that. In this case, Cliven Bundy was made out to be something he clearly is not.
