Glen Beck’s Global Call for Individuals to Take Responsibility for their actions.
Glen Beck spoke: “In Israel, there is more courage in one square mile than in all of Europe.
In Israel, there is more courage in one soldier than in the combined and cold hearts of every bureaucrat at the United Nations.
In Israel, you can find people who will stand against incredible odds… against the entire tide of global opinion, for what is right and good and true.
Israel is not a perfect country. No country is perfect. But it tries… and it is courageous.” Throughout his message, Beck decries in Hebrew: “Lo Eira, I Fear Not”!
Leftists demonize Israel, the only breath of democracy in the Middle East, and some on the right shout isolationism is the role that they want the United States to play with our loyal, longstanding and only ally in the Middle East.
It has become trendy and chic to side with and whine with the Palestinians, the same people who danced in the streets celebrating the devastation to America and our dead on 9-11.
The first event in a global movement to “stand with Israel “ in the form of a gathering of common people who would put aside hate, the “Restoring Courage” convocation was held by Glen Beck.
The movement is funded by donations and ticket purchases from throughout the United States and worldwide individual parties.
On the premise that all it takes is one, one man, and then another and another to take an individual stand for doing the “right thing”, that change is brought about, Glen Beck presented his “Restoring Courage” gathering.
The original choir cancelled at the last minute. Ticket holders cancelled their attendance.
The Muslim Sheik could not participate, all due to threats on their lives, if they attended or participated in the presentation that called for peace in the Middle East.
In spite of hostilities toward them and death threats, an audience of over 1000 Christians and Jews with people from the US, Pakistan, Qatar, and members of the EU Parliament, were on site to participate in the restoration of courage to stand with Israel, against those who deny her right to exist.
Special note: for those in the media who will say Glenn only had 1,000 people in attendees. There would have been a lot more, but Israel government said that is all that was allowed there.
In addition to the onsite audience were 1500 “Viewing Parties” stretching from Joplin, Missouri to the far corners of the world.
Thousands of other individuals watched on GBTV, as Christian, Jew, and Arab speakers and Prayer Leaders, a choir of voices that had never sung together before, came together at the final hour, in defiance of the haters attempting to stop this amazing event.
Glenn Beck and these courageous people of three faiths, Jew, Christian, and Muslim, came together, worked together, and performed together in an outstanding demonstration of how individuals took the first step, towards a world where men can live together in peace, can co-exist working together in peace.
Against a breath-taking backdrop of blue sky, Cypress trees, white blossoms, the walls of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, they gathered.
In that ancient place at the foot of, the Temple Mount compound on this site of ancient Jewish temples, where all three religions began, now the Aksa Mosque, third-holiest site in Islam stands.
It is symbolic that this movement began at this site, because it is hallowed ground to Christian, Jew, and Muslim.
The program began with a blessing by Rabbi Riskin followed by the Israeli National Anthem. Mayor Nir Barkat, Mayor of Jerusalem gave opening remarks and declared, “Jerusalem will never be divided again.”
He told the audience: “Courage is the act of taking the first step. If we follow God, He will lead us. “He later asks, “Do you stop at pointing out the problems? Is that where your job ends?”
He furthers,” Propose a new path with like minded individuals to tell governments to get out of the way.” Glenn later asks, “Who do you trust, kings, presidents, reporters, producers, educational bureaucrats?
Individuals solved the problems of the Holocaust, the Civil Rights.
They saw the solution in themselves”. He urges, “Stand together with courage. Walk behind faith, the pillar of fire”.
Later his quires: “If the world must know who will stand with Israel, who will stand and say, “I stand with Israel”.
Later he reminds us, “By small and simple things, great things come to pass. Hope and change is within you.” Glenn continues to probe your very soul, asking, “What did YOU do? What did YOU DO when Israel was threatened?”
He asks what we would tell our children and grandchildren. Glenn concluded the program with these words of wisdom and truth and a final call: “I stand with Israel because I prefer to DEFEND LIVING JEWS instead of MOURN DEAD JEWS. Do YOU have the COURAGE to stand with Israel?”
On Friday Beck will be in South America, to visit with community and religious leaders and ask them to stand with Israel. He then continues to go to the world’s people and call them to come together, to take the path one individual at a time, to “see and speak the truth with justice against injustice”.
Sunday, he will speak to 5,000 Americans in Dallas, Texas, to continue reminding that Restoring Courage is a matter of each individual taking responsibility.
