TARP

Remember that? All Bush’s fault, right?  With a Democratically controlled Congress from 2006-2008, George W. Bush tried to regulate, or at least limit, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to no avail.

As late as April, 2008, Barney Frank stated that both Fannie and Freddy were in great shape. So emphatic was his praise, many bought stock in both expecting the housing market to continue to flourish.

Then came October, 2008. Obama’s numbers in the Presidential campaign were not as strong as expected and McCain’s new running mate was stealing the headlines.

Fannie and Freddy were pet Obama’s pet projects, helped by ACORN, a group he trained and mentored. Ben Bernanke, Barney Frank, and Nancy Pelosi pushed Bush and told him TARP was needed or there would be a global financial meltdown. Does the urgency sound familiar?

McCain was thrown off-track as he rushed back to D.C. and Obama retook the lead as he professed that he was in “constant contact” with all involved.

Did TARP funds make the banks more solvent? 84 banks failed in 2009 and the FDIC was in jeopardy. Did both McCain and Obama vote yes for TARP?

Yes, but only one candidate then used the increasing debt and deficit as a “talking point” to advance his candidacy. Our debt had grown, and according to Obama, it was all Bush’s fault.

Remember that Geithner (the tax cheat and ex-President of the Federal Reserve) said the limits on the FDIC had to be raised?

Instead of 100k insurance for every investor, it was raised to 250K, so when banks fail and no one purchases the assets, the FDIC has to pay each individual account up 250k.

This was a failed strategy for “spreading the wealth around,” as those who want that wealth didn’t have those assets in banks.

The banks were pressured by Congress to take the money “or else.”

Though most have paid the money back, with interest, their counter-attack was and remains to hold onto assets, limits loans, and increase fees.

At least we can still blame them as Obama says we should, which makes them a convenient villain.

 

GM and Chrysler

Remember them?

They needed bailouts (bailouts are loans with interest, borrowed from our tax dollars without interest.)Ford refused the money and had a 23% profit for the last 3 quarters of 2009.

GM re-emerged as Government Motors after more than 50 billion of our money made the government a 70% shareholder and after bond holders were shunned for Unions. SO, we had cash-for-clunkers.

Gov gave a $4500 rebate to a dealer to pass on to a consumer, but the Consumer isn’t told that the $4500 is taxable income and participating non-GM dealers have to wait for their checks.

More than 1500 dealerships are closed, many more than profitable but in the wrong colored states.

SO, our tax dollars, loaned to the Gov. with no interest, helped pay for someone else’s new car which is taxed while the dealers pay for crushing perfectly good automobiles and end up selling Toyotas instead of Chevys.

Then GM is invested $293 million of OUR money in a company in China so China can make a profit making parts for cars that weren’t selling.

The big payout from the president and government who never wanted to be “in the automobile business?”

The Chevy Volt. A $42,000 car that gets forty miles to a battery charge, a CEO who claims Chevy had repaid all loans, and new bailout to cover the cost of the union members and bosses making the Volt.

 

Stimulus

Remember that?

$787 Billion for “shovel-ready” job creation that was supposed to create or save 2-3 million jobs and really stimulate the economy.

Here are a couple of reminders from Hannity on 101 stimulus waste projects injected into the bill by both Repubs and Dems that include bridges to nowhere, tearing down trees that burned in 1973, providing turtle crossing signs…well, watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM8iAM-pwUQ and then watch part 2 to really get disgusted.

The bill was allowed 1 hour on the Senate floor, was over 900 pages, and Congressmen were told there would be Martial Law if they didn’t sign it.

Americans from every part of the country opposed the bill and repeatedly called or wrote their Congress people to no avail.

 

Omnibus bill

Is additional stimulus, remember? This money went to a $25 million fund for a wind technology testing center and $250 checks sent to more than 20,000 dead people and 10,000 prison inmates. More wealth-spreading, more deficit spending.

Budget. Let’s see, Obama found $100 million in waste to offset the budget deficit. Watch this 1 minute example of what that meant.

Guantanamo

First executive order was to close Guantanamo Bay. There was a big T.V. splash on this as Obama stumbled with pens and asked those around him if they had an actual plan to carry this out.

The problem is, nobody read what Obama was signing. It called for closing Gitmo by the end of August, but it also said prisoners could be taken to any country and imprisoned indefinitely.

It also said that NEW detainees would be kept in foreign countries indefinitely. Sounds like rendition to me.

Remember Tom Daeshle?

He was going to be the HHS secretary before Sebelius (tax cheats) was appointed, but he cheated on his taxes. He also makes more than $5 million a year as a pharmaceutical drug company lobbyist.

Though Obama had yet to fill 500 posts in his cabinet, Michelle Obama had more than 25 aides, many of them past lobbyists for community and hospital groups, mostly in Chicago, all making six-figure salaries.

 

Cap and Trade

Part of the $1.6 trillion dollar budget. A regressive tax, state by state, raises utility rates up to 400%! It was pushed through by the House, but not yet done in the Senate.

The Electrical Grid is being worked on now, even though we haven’t heard about it because it was slipped into the past budget bill when it went back to Pelosi.

That grid will eventually allow the Gov. to monitor your energy use and turn off the heat, air conditioning, stove or lights when you use too much and use a sliding scale UP to tax you on usage.

The EPA, however, already has enough power to implement the basis of this bill without Congress, without the people’s consent. That power was incorporated in the Omnibus bill.

Health Care Reform

This finally got people mad when they SHOULD have been marching on Washington months before. $1.3 trillion dollars, but Obama says 2/3 will be covered by cuts and the last third covered by taxing the rich.

$586 billion in cuts to Medicare advantage, meaning seniors (and we will be seniors someday) will lose this program.

It helps to pay for medications, the prices of which are marked up by pharmaceutical companies anywhere from 220% to 4000%! Some say Medicare is a government option.

Yes and no. We have been paying for Medicare since 1962. We’ve also been paying into Social Security, another bankrupt Government trust raided by Congress without the people’s consent.

I paid taxes for everything else since I was 16, but I guess when you reach 55 and become “useless,” according to Obama’s Health Advisory Panel, you don’t deserve any of your money back.

After all, you only kept the country going and helped to build it with your sweat and tears. $101 trillion dollars – believe it? Watch this.

And we can afford health care for the “40 million” who don’t have health care? 10 million are illegal aliens. 12 million have opted out of insurance for many reasons-

They don’t like doctors, follow alternative health, want other things in their lives. The argument from Obama is that everyone pays for the uninsured when they get in an accident and go to the hospital. Hmmm.

I pay car insurance because I CHOOSE to own a car. That insurance pays my medical bills in case of an accident, and pays another’s bills if it’s my fault. The answer to our health care problems is fairly simple.

1. Allow nationalized insurance. When companies have to compete with many other companies in each state, the premiums will go down.

2. Tort reform. Congress doesn’t like this because they’re all lawyers. Simple. Get rid of the lawyers in Congress.

3. Drug company reform. The largest corporations in the world are the drug companies. They even beat oil. 4. Medicare and Medicaid fraud enforcement. Some people know how to beat the system, and they do it.

Financial Reform

Touted as the bill that would reign in Wall Street and help Main Street, this was another 2000 page boondoggle unwanted by the American people and passed with backroom wheeling and dealing.

Fannie and Freddie regulation were conveniently omitted, and the included taxes will attack small business owners nationwide.

Many have accepted the anger against Wall Street without realizing that Wall Street is just a processing point for investments in companies that keep them working. Kill Wall Street, you kill business.

Kill business, you are out of a job. No jobs means any consumers which means the economy collapses and America dies.

We are now21 months into this administration. We are close to $13 trillion dollars in debt and that’s a low estimate and barring any disasters or “attacks.”

We are still in Afghanistan and will be for several more years. We may have to go back to Iraq (which only cost $860 billion- small change compared to the Dems spending plans.)

Unemployment has stayed near 9.5% nationally in spite of the fact we were told the stimulus would keep this from happening. Housing is still a problem and Fannie and Freddie have asked for more bailouts.

People marched on Washington on 9/09-9/12 with the big rally on 9/12, but the left media ignored it or played the race card.

People came together again in August, 2010, to support putting God back in America through Faith, Hope and Charity. This, too, was dismissed by the media and of course, the Race card was played again.

IMMIGRATION REFORM

Though Arizona and Texas have begged repeated for better Federal enforcement of border security, they have been met with silence, or in Arizona’s case, Federal lawsuits against their efforts to take care of their own.

The DOJ has also filed lawsuits against various companies who use E-verify, a method to check for illegality.

The topper, though, is that our own State Department, headed by Hillary Clinton, has provided a report to the United Nations on American Human Rights, citing Arizona as an example of Human Rights violations.

Why was this allowed? Because for the first time in history, a sitting President of the United States took a position as President of the U.N.

Security Council. Because, for the first time in history, the United States joined the Human Rights Council of the U.N., a council whose own history of human rights abuses and corruption is not even questionable any more.

CONGRESS

Nancy Pelosi stated during questioning about her attacks on CIA transparency that her job from 2006-2008 was not to pay attention to the Iraq war or anything else.

Her job was to make sure there were a fully Democratic Congress and majority.

She succeeded. But not only was the House of Representatives dominated by Democrats, it was also fully dominated by members who are or where officers and/or members of Democratic Socialists of America whose agenda has followed the Cloward-Priven strategy for the dissolution of America through economic collapse.

They follow Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, now the number one recommended text in our schools, written by a man Hillary Clinton greatly admires.

In fact, Clinton’s college thesis was on her devotion to Alinsky principles, and during her campaign run in 2008, she proudly admitted she was a Modern Progressive in ideology.

Many are now clamoring for this Secretary of state to challenge Obama in 2010. One is a woman. One is half-black and half-white. Both are Alinsky and Marx protégés.

ISLAM AND SHARIA LAW

 Fort Hood. The Underwear Bomber. The Times Square Bomber. Obama has stated we are not at war with Islam, but with extremists, yet we have essentially been attacked by Islamic extremists in ways not seen since September 11, 2001.

States like Michigan and Minnesota are being overtaken with Muslims who say they are peaceful and follow the Koran. If you know nothing else about the Koran (Q’uran) but this, know it well.

All things written in this so-called Holy book are meaningless except for whatever was written last. The first part of this book seems holy and peaceful in nature.

The second half is filled with hatred for Israel and infidels and commands their death. The first half is meaningless; the second half is the law. Muslim extremists may carry out bombings and beheadings.

Muslim believers are very apt to follow Sharia Law. Our President has stated and written that if things seem weighted against his Muslim brothers, he will choose the Muslim brothers.

He has also stated America has the largest Muslim population in the world, a statement that may upset Muslim countries such as Pakistan, India and Iran.

When Iranian people took to the streets to protest what they knew to be a fraudulent election and were then beaten, imprisoned, and killed, our President said nothing.

When a Muslim at Fort Hood killed 11 people after shouting Allah Akbar, our President waited hours, gave a shout-out to an Indian Chief, and then told Americans not to rush to judgment.

Obama has also stated that the Constitution of the United States should be considered a “living document” that is now outdated and has appointed numerous federal judges and nominated two Supreme Court justices now appointed, who believe the same.

MID-TERM ELECTIONS

The elections in November, 2010 will not be the answer to all our problems.

The American people will strive to elect those who believe in our founding documents and principles and then hope these newly elected representatives will not be coerced by D.C. and will do what is necessary to right the terrible wrongs of this administration.

They will finally have hope for change they can believe in. But the American people have to realize they are in a war, a war that was begun with Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.

A war continued by Franklin Roosevelt and Jimmy Carter. A war well-masked by William and Hillary Clinton. This war was to be without bloodshed or bullets and was well-planned and executed on many fronts.

Our educational system has been flooded with texts changing history while the government is now in charge of student loans to those worthy of this preferred education.

Our youngest have been and are being indoctrinated and re-educated into believing America is a terrible oppressor and must be dissolved “for their sakes.” God has been removed from classrooms and buildings and the Pledge of Allegiance so important to National pride and loyalty is no longer a standard to start the day.

The government controls more than 2/3 of the economy including transportation, waterways, healthcare and soon all utilities and food. There is much work to be done beyond November, 2010.

These elections are but one battle of many and the American Dream will need the resolute and devotion of every Patriot to finally claim victory.

PATRIOTS

This name will be co-opted by the far left and many who are fighting for the demise of America. Name-calling, smears, lies, deception and fraud will be daily threats and battles and many will retreat to football season, video games, medications and Holiday stress.

If America is to live; If American children are to have a future without servitude and debt; if the American Dream is to stay a dream and not a nightmare, ALL Patriots must stop the rhetoric, the judgments, the extreme.

They must put aside the petty for the hope of a future. Gay marriage and abortion rights are two of many divisive issues and should be between states and/or people and their God.

We have bigger problems that need strong and powerful leadership from the family to the Oval Office.

Which gun you carry into battle or how many bullets you fired won’t matter if you lose the war.

These are starters and talking points to remind you of all we’ve seen and been through in this short 21 months. These are facts, not emotional rebuttals or mainstream media tirades.

Use them. Share them. Check your ego at the door and rise up for America. This battle may be our last chance to try to win the war.

Glenn Beck’s 5 pledges

Ask your Mayor. Ask your Congressmen. Ask your Candidates to sign and attest to these pledges.

1. I believe in a balanced budget and therefore will vote for a freeze in government spending until that goal is realized.

2. I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its citizenry during difficult economic times therefore I will oppose all tax increases until our economy has rebounded.

3. I believe more than four decades of U.S. dependence on foreign oil is a travesty therefore I will support an energy plan that calls for immediately increasing usage of all domestic resources including nuclear energy, natural gas, and coal as necessary.

Also add that we have vast inland resources of oil and the American ingenuity to drill safely.

4. I believe in the sovereignty and security of our country and therefore will support measures to close our borders except for designated immigration points so we will know who is entering and why and I will vehemently oppose any measure giving another country, the United Nations, or any other entity, power over U.S. citizens.

5. I believe the United States of America is the greatest country on earth and therefore will not apologize for policies or actions which have served to free more and feed more people around the world than any other nation on the planet.

And my own addendum.

6. I believe in the Constitution and the Divine Providence of the United States. I believe, therefore, we are still as we have always been, a Judeo-Christian nation formed on our belief in God and endowed by our Creator with the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
