GCC/Staff
August 1. 2011

In a week and a weekend when the war of words in Washington DC rose to extreme caliber.

As deadlines approached and rhetoric led the day, there were indeed winners and losers.

While the American people are still looking for leadership from the hallowed halls and the White House few if any feel like winners. Congress continues to conduct their business regardless of the prevailing wishes of We the People.

In recent polls, 66% of the people have indicated THEY want or demand a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Amending the Constitution is not easy and justifiably so. If it WAS easy, God knows WHAT the Constitution would look like after 235 years.

It is likely it would resemble nothing of its original direction and likely too that our republic would have crumbled away because of it.

To amend the constitution, either the House or the Senate can propose an amendment and 2/3 of both the Senate and the House must vote to approve of it or 2/3 of the states must call on Congress to hold a Constitutional Convention.

In order to actually ratify an amendment, 1 of 2 things must then occur. Either ¾ of all state legislatures must ratify it or ¾ of the states must hold a ratifying convention and approved the amendment.

The Supreme Court has set a “reasonable” time frame for such action to not exceed 7 years.

At a time when downloading an entire book to an iPad takes 7 seconds, 7 years seems an eternity but in context, the bills being put forth in Congress to balance the budget will take 10 years IF they indeed work therefore, 7 years IS the fast track.

Hitching a proposed balanced budget amendment to the debt ceiling vote, as was done with Cut Cap and Balance and the Boehner bill would have required a future vote on a balanced budget amendment and while both those bills passed the House, both were tabled in the Senate.

That brings us to the winners and the losers in this current budget/debt situation.

Winners

As for the winners, one can place the Tea Party in that category. Without the Tea Party backed candidates sweeping into the House in November 2010.

It’s impossible to imagine that a balanced budget amendment would have even been a part of the discussion in any way shape or form.

When it came to raising the debt ceiling and had it not been part of the discussion, it’s a fair bet that the American people would have paid much notice to yet another raising of that ceiling.

Speaker Boehner, after much consternation, finds himself in the winner section. Boehner presided over and constructed not 1 but 2 bills regarding the debt ceiling that passed the House.

The first, Cut Cap and Balance receive some amount of bipartisan support while the so called Boehner Bill passed only after retooling and arm twisting on a strictly partisan vote. It is the sheer fact that both actually passed that makes Boehner a winner.

The American people, whether they believe it or not and whether they, because of individual party affiliation supported those measures or not, are winners because of the two bills.

The people win by virtue of the fact that the Tea Party has forced the issue to points never before seen in an attempt to raise the debt ceiling.

And because those elected officials who adhere to Tea Party guidelines are steering Congress toward a high degree of fiscal responsibility by insisting on no added revenue through tax increases and a cut in spending equal to or greater than any rise in the debt ceiling.

Losers

As for the losers, first we find the President who rather than lead on anything regarding the budget or the national debt has failed miserably at every turn.

By law, the President must submit a budget and Obama’s budget, delivered to the Senate.

Was such a twisted abject disaster it failed to receive a single vote. 97-0 was the final count meaning that not even a lone member of his own party could bring themselves to vote aye.

Obama also stayed out of the debt ceiling negotiations until push came to shove.

And so leadenly was his too late involvement that members of the republican delegation, walked out on several occasions which eventually relegated the President to being a lecturer rather than a leader.

Over and over, Obama walked to the nearest microphone to blame Bush, blame the Tea Party, scold the republicans and chide private jet owners.

One must also place Obama in the loser category because through it all, despite his and his Press Secretary’s claims to the contrary, the President offered no plan.

On countless occasions, republicans from both the House and the Senate asked to see the President’s plan.

They demanded to see it. The sad fact was, flying in the face of what had been labeled as “the most well known plan out there” it simply never existed.

In what may well have been the ultimate slam, the CBO, when asked about the viability of the “Obama Plan” simply stated that, “We do not score political speeches.”

Add Harry Reid to the loser team. Within 45 minutes of the passage of the Boehner Bill, Reid tabled it without debate or a vote, just as he did with Cut Cap and Balance.

Within minutes of tabling that bill, Reid stood before a microphone and derided republicans and the Tea Party for filibustering HIS bill.

And not allowing a vote on it but the problem with THAT was that immediately after Reid tabled the Boehnr Bill.

Republican Senator called for the Reid bill to be placed at once for debate and a vote which Reid himself declined to do.

Further, in his rant against the right, Reid also attempted to make hay with the delay in a vote by the House on the Boehner bill because Boehner initially did not have the numbers he needed.

Oops. As it turned out, neither did Reid have the numbers HE needed and the vote on HIS bill became delayed by 2 days. When the Reid bill finally DID come to a vote it was shot down 50-49. Loser.

The Gang of 6? That bipartisan committee was convened to solve these problems hit some very partisan brick walls and disbanded only to reform in the 11th hour and trumpet a solution to the stalemate.

What they handed in however was the barest of a proposed outline and nothing in the form of a bill which could be brought to any floor. Put the Gang in the loser section.

Also in the category of losers, arguably, are the American people, trapped in a sort of limbo by the politics of compromise. Up for grabs are interest rates, the markets, possible easing of unemployment and another recession.

A debt ceiling “deal” went into the hands of yet another commission trying to hammer out details and cobble together yet another bill which may or may not pass both, or either the Senate or the House and standing in the wings are those who will determine our national credit rating.

If whatever the next proposal is manages to pass both through the House and the Senate AND is signed into law by the President, we may retain our AAA rating.

If unsuccessful, we most likely will have our rating downgraded for the first time in history and the blame game will be in full swing.

The so called. Middle Measure was signed off on by Harry Reid pending the approval of his caucus meaning he himself was done negotiating while republican leaders claimed negotiations were not yet completed.

As this news slowly leaked, many on the far left were reportedly livid claiming they would NOT vote for the measure as it contained no new revenue…code for taxes.

The Middle Measure allows for an immediate cutting of 1 trillion dollars in spending over 10 years and a raise of the debt ceiling by 900 billion dollars.

The “deal” also calls for a special committee of 12…or 6 depending on which early report you choose to believe equal in democrats and republicans to make recommendations for more cuts of 1.5 trillion dollars by the end of the year.

If those cuts are approved by the House and the Senate, an additional 1.5 trillion will then be added to the debt ceiling. If those recommendations are NOT passed, certain triggers are contained within the measure to kick in.

One of the triggers of particular concern to the republican leadership, and rightly so, is one that would cause deep cuts to the military which many see as already stressed and short on funds and which many on the right fear would leave our national defense lacking. On the left, triggers would make deep cuts to entitlements such as Medicare.

One thing NOT contained in this measure is a requirement that a balanced budget amendment be passed and sent to the people BEFORE the second round of debt ceiling increase and THAT may turn off more than a few of the republicans.

The sad fact is that tax increases, disguised as “tax reform” as a part of the 2nd tier of this measure will be on the table and a stalemate on that issue could well force the triggers to be pulled.

Something else that should be known about this measure is that it does not reverse the spend trend in Washington but simply slows it. Instead of sprinting toward insolvency, we will be walking briskly toward it.

The Middle Measure is thought to be harder to pass in the House than the Senate but look for far fewer republicans supporting it in the House than supported the Boehner bill.

216 votes in the House are needed and a mix of both party’s representatives will get it there. In the Senate, 60 is the magic number and it will be close.

A vote originally thought to on tap for late Sunday night was postponed until sometime on Monday but don’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen until Tuesday as Members of congress will want to go through the “deal” with a fine tooth comb. As of midnight Sunday, most Members of Congress were still awaiting the details.

The idea that the single largest increase of the debt ceiling with the nation’s credit rating dangling in the balance being concocted and voted on in less than 24 hours should well give all involved and the people who will be effected by it a great deal of pause.

It’s safe to say that leaders of both the Senate and House will spend a considerable amount of hours trying to wrangle votes in favor of a bill which has not seen debate or has been fully read by the Members all in the name of expediency.

Considering the track record of such legislation throughout this administration, this procedure seems like déjà vu.

If the Middle Measure does NOT pass, the downgrade is eminent. If it DOES pass, the downgrade is less likely but certainly not off the table.

If a downgrade occurs, Obama will be the first President to preside over one and he will likely become an instant lame duck.

The future depends on the American people. The surest way to right the ship of state and truly reverse the spending frenzy would be to gain a balanced budget amendment, even if it takes 7 years to come to fruition and the only way, it seems, to accomplish that is to sweep into the Senate, Tea Party republicans, increase their numbers in the House and put a Tea Party backed candidate in the White House.

While the current process grinds on those stepping to the cameras are agreeing on one thing, that there are elements of this Middle Measure which will make everybody angry.

So, this process tying spending cuts of at least as much as a raise to the debt ceiling is unique however, the execution of the process is still business as usual and any positive outcome from it seems to be more of a political pat on the back than a real life fiscal accomplishment.

As we have seen, as many have come to realize and in spite of what the Obama campaign of 2008 claimed, neither a politician nor a committee of them can change the way Washington does business.

Only We the People can do that

June 18, 2011

A bit of political controversy has erupted around Google and an Obama ad that recently ran. Long story short:

The National Republican Senatorial Committee has suspicions that Google gave the Obama campaign a special deal on a new type of ad (Cost-per-lead), which the company is currently testing. Google denies this notion, and that the ad in question was even a Google ad.

Do you believe Google?

Politico ran an interesting article about unconfirmed and denied suspicions that Google had given President Obama a special deal on an as-of-yet released advertising product.

The publication reports that a staffer at the National Republican Senatorial Committee saw “what appeared to be an Obama ad built on this technology” at the site RealClearPolitics last month, and then emailed Google asking about running the same kind of ad for Republicans.

The Google saleswoman reportedly replied, “This is a pre-alpha product that is being released to a select few clients. I’d be happy to get you into the beta if you’re interested.”

Politico then quotes the NRSC communications director as saying that this “raises some red flags that the Obama campaign appears to have been given special access to a new online advertising product.”

The article quotes Google spokesman Jake Parrilo as saying that the email contained inaccurate “puffery” by the sales rep, and that the ad that appeared on RealClearPolitics wasn’t even a Google ad. Google has chalked the whole thing up as a “mistake” by the rep.

Fox News says: “Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told FoxNews.com that the Obama campaign did not purchase any of the ‘cost-per-lead’ ads through Google.

Google’s press office also denied that the president’s reelection effort got any early deal, considering the ‘cost-per-lead” program has not even been rolled out yet.’”

Parrilo is also quoted as saying, “This is an experiment and while we generally do not comment on those experiments we can tell you that we have not sold a single CPL [cost-per-lead] ad unit to any political candidates or committees.”

So, by Google’s account, the ad the NRSC is talking about wasn’t even their ad, and the kind of ad they’re talking about has not been sold to any political candidates.

As you might imagine, there are plenty of people chiming in in the comments of Politico’s report. Here are a few:

“Google is all about control and knowing every inch of your life and so is the Obama administration. They make a perfect fit IF that’s what you want your life to be.”

“Notice the key words in their denials. They claim Obama hasn’t paid for the service and Obama claims he hasn’t paid them for a service. It was most likely given to him for free. So technically they’re telling the truth.”

“If this turns out to be true…..a deal between Obama and Google, I will immediately eject Google from my computers.”

“I Bing…I don’t use Chrome.”

Google’s history with the Obama administration draws plenty of scrutiny from onlookers. Former CEO and current executive chairman Eric Schmidt is a well known Obama supporter, and was named to Obama’s Science and Technology advisory council.

In late 2008 alone, it was reported that six Google execs had donated $25,000 a piece to fund Obama’s swearing-in party. That includes Dick Costolo, who is now CEO of Twitter, by the way.

NRSC spokesman Brian Walsh told FoxNews.com that Google has reached out to the committee. Walsh reportedly told the site in an email, “They claim this was a misunderstanding.

We are currently examining that but certainly the appearance raises a red flag when you consider that Google executives have contributed almost a million dollars to President Obama’s political campaigns.”

In a 2008 post on Google’s Public Policy Blog addressing the company’s political advertising policies, Peter Greenberger wrote, “We permit political advertisements regardless of the political views they represent, and apply our policies equally.

Just as the Net itself provides space for a thousand political opinions to bloom, Google is committed to being a neutral platform for people to advertise their political messages.”

An interesting side story here is that Google has separate ad teams that run Republican and Democratic campaigns. These teams, Politico says it was told by Parrillo, are unaware of the other side’s projects or deals. Google spokesperson Rob Shilkin also told Search Engine Land,

“As our clients know, when we experiment with new products like this, our sales teams always has, and always will, offer the exact same opportunity to both sides of politics, at the same time.

Our Democratic and Republican sales teams are strictly separated from each other and are charged with offering the absolutely best online ad solution for their respective clients.”

Is this being blown out of proportion, or do you think there are legitimate “red flags” being raised?

June 14, 2011

Our favorite restaurant fell by the way side and closed.

Mary and I saw a new sign on the building and pulled our car at the entrance to see if they were open for business. The new owner, a middle aged Asian gentleman, rushed outside to greet us.

He said his grand opening was three weeks away. He then enthusiastically began promoting his new restaurant; explaining how it was going to be so much better than the previous restaurant.

His passion was infectious. Mary and I left excited about giving his new venture a try.

I thought, this guy is what America is all about. Obama-nomics has wreaked havoc on small business. Still, this man is willing to take the risk and go for it.

Folks, I cannot begin to tell you how much it “frost me” that Obama uses class envy to portray small business owners such as this restaurateur as selfish greedy bad guys.

The liberal mindset reasoning that “the boss” is always the bad guy baffles me. Approximately half of new small businesses fail within the first two years.

With all of the silly and outrageous “nanny government” cost incurring regulations, the failure rate is rapidly increasing.

So, when a small business owner survives the maze of control freak intrusive regulations, meets payroll and all of the other challenges which come with being “the boss”, Obama believes it is evil for the business owner to take home a check much larger than his “workers”.

Well excuse me Mr. President, but the boss took the risk, providing employment for employees who can simply punch out at five o’clock and forget about the business until the next day.

The boss, perceived by liberals to be selfish, greedy and “evil”, is mentally, physically or emotionally engaged with his business 24/7.

A liberal posted on my face book wall, “You conservative Christians forget that Jesus was a socialist.” Apparently, this person is unfamiliar with Jesus’ Parable of the Talents.

Condensing the story, a master left town leaving three servants with talents (money); one with five talents, another with two talents and the third he entrusted with one talent; each according to his ability.

The servants with the five and two talents invested and doubled their master’s money.

Upon his return, the master was extremely pleased and greatly rewarded them.

The third servant, probably an Obama voter, was fearful of taking a risk and buried the master’s one talent.

Upon his return, the master was furious with his servant calling him wicked and lazy. Yep, sounds like an Obama voter to me.

If Obama was the master, he would have scolded the two risk taking servants accusing them of being selfish and greedy. How dare his successful two servants double their talents and not redistribute them equally with the “wicked lazy” servant.

Answering as he did to Joe the Plumber, Master Obama would say, “I think it is only fair that we spread the wealth around”.

Obama is a master of deception, speaking out of both sides of his mouth. While promising to implement policies which strengthen small business, Obama continues to create policies destructive to business.

Is Obama “clueless” in regards to economics? No.

Obama is a big government socialist fulfilling his vow to “fundamentally transform” America.

Small business has been the backbone of America employing most Americans. Under Obama, this reality is changing. The private sector is shrinking while people working for the government continue to grow as if on steroids.

I would like to share excerpts from a book by small business owner, Dwayne B. Stovall titled, “Growing up Colorless: Race, Media and Government”.

“…For many years now, I have awakened every morning without the use of an alarm. The fear of failure is all a person needs to lose the ability to sleep.

Stress is like most chronic pain.

Come Monday, you still have to get up and make sure you don’t do something that destroys your business and hurts your family or hurts the people that work for you and their families.

Like every other contractor in my industry, I give away 2 to 3 percent of every contract to an insurance company for bonding.

Add to that the general liability, workers compensation, various commercial insurance policies, and all the taxes we are forced to pay and you can see how we start every year hundreds of thousands of dollars in the hole….”

So Mr. Obama, enough with your despicable nonsensical self serving rhetoric saying those who are fortunate (lucky) should be willing to give a little more to support those who are “less fortunate”.

You are shamelessly exploiting “class envy” to expand your voter base of deadbeats sitting around expecting handouts from your “stash”.

I know it is silly to wish my life away, but COME ON 2012!

The American entrepreneurial spirit cannot survive much more of a president who inspires divisiveness and hatred for achievers.

GCC/Staff
June 8, 2011

What part of “the Paul Ryan Budget Proposal does not affect the Medicare of seniors 55 and older”,

Do democrats and the liberal media not understand?

Why would the democrats produce a blatantly lying video ad showing Congressman Ryan pushing granny over a cliff and why would the liberal media allow them to get away with it?

Are the democrats and their lib media buddies intellectually challenged and unable to grasp the concept of “does not”?

No, they are co-conspirators in their despicable mission to manipulate, terrify and deceive seniors.

Their distortion of Ryan’s Medicare proposal is an example of the evil, democrat/liberal media tag team, juggernaut which challenges us in the 2012 election.

We cannot allow these shameless liars to successfully brand Ryan’s heroic effort to “SAVE” Medicare as a republican plot to end Medicare and “kill” seniors. Former Obama adviser and far left radical, Van Jones, even compared Ryan’s budget to an attack by Al-Qaeda.

Such over the top fear tactics and lies work when not refuted.

Patriots, it is going to take a “all hands on deck” herculean effort on our part to spread the truth about Ryan’s plan, countering the Obama machine’s liberal media supported lies.

Use your creativity. Shoot and post videos. Gather patriots on street corners and in parks; all chanting the same mantra, “The dems lie! Ryan’s budget does not affect the Medicare of seniors 55 and older.”

The bazaar-o world aspect of the Medicare debate is while dems and liberal media attack Ryan; Obama is the one planning to cut 500 billion dollars from Medicare which is repealed in Ryan’s plan. Ryan’s proposal also repeals Obama’s death panels.

My 99 year old black grandmother adores Obama. Little does she know Obama’s health rationing panels would deem her a poor investment for certain medical procedures?

I envision my grandmother’s application rubber stamped, “DENIED” and a federal clerk yelling, “Next!”

Everybody knows Medicare is on the road to bankruptcy. So, why would the democrats set out to destroy, portraying Paul Ryan as the devil’s advocate, the one guy making a sincere effort to save Medicare for future generations?

Allow me to offer a lesson in Democrat Compassion 101. It is NEVER about real compassion. It is ALWAYS about superior, “we know best how to run your life” power and control.

In a candid moment, Obama admitted that while it may take 10 years, his ultimate goal is to have all Americans on government run health care.

Thus, Medicare failing would be a good thing, a major step toward Obama achieving his goal.

It would open the door to Americans embracing government controlled health care which equals surrendering total control of our lives.

Government will decide who lives and who dies, what we eat, what time we go to bed and whether or not you can own a gun. Don’t laugh. Gun control was embedded in Hilliary Care.

Last November, we patriots made a promise to our winning tea party candidates. We said, “If you guys go to Washington and hold fast to the reasons we sent you there, WE WILL HAVE YOUR BACKS!”

Congressman Ryan believed us. This brilliant courageous young man stepped up to make “real change”.

Ryan’s proposal takes on balancing the budget and stopping the bleeding of our economy caused by out of control entitlement and irresponsible spending.

Like a scene out of pro wrestling, the tag team of Mad Dog Lying Democrats and Suck up Big Liberal Media began attacking Paul Ryan from all sides, ignoring all rules of fair play.

We MUST come to Ryan’s defense. Patriot writers, singer/songwriters, bloggers, talk show hosts and etc.; we all must do our part to get the word out. Time to go Paul Revere on the democrat’s and liberal media’s behinds.

“The dems lie! Ryan’s budget does not affect the Medicare of seniors 55 and older.”

Though quite formidable, we beat the democrats and Obama’s media last November which proves we can beat them again come November 2012.

Obama’s Middle East speech was every bit as bad as we would expect it to be.

His proposals achieve two of his cherished goals.

Obama wants to harm America and harm Israel.

Yesterday, Obama stated in his speech he wants to spend yet more money on the Middle East. He wants financial aid to both Egypt and Tunisia. Earth to Barry, in case you have not noticed, we are broke.

America has hit the debt ceiling, and while John Boehner has already raised the white flag of surrender on the debt ceiling issue, it is by no means certain the debt ceiling will be raised.

Someone please explain why we should be giving either of these countries ANYTHING?

Egypt, thanks to the intervention of our anti-American President, is rapidly degenerating and will probably move from being a reliable American ally to a strongly anti-Western Islamic republic.

Even when they were our ally, they weren’t a great one and yet, Obama wants to bail them out.

Since the end of World War Two, we have tried to bribe third world countries with foreign aid. We have spent trillions of dollars. What do we have to show for it? Nothing.

What do third world dictators have to show for it? They have billions in secret bank accounts. They are rich, courtesy of the American Taxpayer.

Perhaps the only thing Obama dislikes more than America is Israel. Obama has now demanded that Israel move back to its 1967 borders. To call that move suicidal would be an understatement.

But there is a more practical aspect to all of this. Since 1979, there has been a formula for peace in the Middle East.

The formula has been land for peace. Israel has been asked surrender land and they were supposed to get peace.

Israel has repeatedly surrendered land to the Arabs. What has Israel gotten in return? It has not gotten peace. It has gotten suicide bombers.

It has gotten terrorist attacks. It has gotten katushka rocket attacks.

In the famous words of Dr. Phil, “how’s that working out for you?”

In the past, things worked out differently. In 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973, Israel fought and won wars. Egypt was thoroughly beaten in 1967 and 1973. They had no more desire to fight. Ditto for Jordan and Syria.

Unfortunately for Israel, it no longer has a friend in America. Actually, most Americans still like Israel. Unfortunately we have an anti-American President who also hates Israel.

Many think Obama hates Israel because he is a Muslim. Obama isn’t a Muslim. He is a Marxist. But he sympathizes with the Islamists.

The third world and the left hate Israel. Obama is a part of that Marxist hard left that hates Israel.

We have a choice in the Middle East. We can support the radical Islamists who hate the west and hate the only democratic regime in the Middle East or we can support the only country in the Middle East that is actually a friend to America and is a democracy.

Given those options, unfortunately, we know where Obama stands.

The United States Navy takes a lot of pictures.

They release a lot of their photos on their website (navy.mil).

Recently the Navy released a photo of a sailor. What is wrong with the photo of this sailor?

In this photo, Seaman Laura Jackson and a sailor from the Thai Royal Navy are painting a bathroom at the Somboon Ranaram School in Ban Chang Thailand as a part of a community service project.

There are some very obvious questions. Let’s start with the most obvious. Why are we paying a sailor to do community service in Thailand?

This project is not an isolated incident. The United States Navy routinely releases photos of American sailors doing these types of “community service” projects all over the place. They are doing them in South East Asia, Africa and South America.

Is this the Navy or is this the Peace Corps?

The purpose of the Navy is to sail in harm’s way. The purpose of the United States Navy is to project American power, defend American interests and keep the sea-lanes open for American ships.

What other things could this sailor is doing?

She could be doing her job aboard whichever ship she is assigned to. She could be studying to improve her job or move up in the Navy. She could even be on liberty. Why are we having our sailors do these “community service” jobs in other countries?

If the Navy has a mania that it must absolutely do these community service jobs, there are schools here in the United States that need that kind of help. These are schools used by children whose parents are American taxpayers and who pay for the United States Navy.

That still does not answer the question, why is the Navy even doing these projects? The Navy is actively involved with the war in Afghanistan. The Navy is actively involved with the mess in Libya.

Islamic pirates are regularly attacking shipping off of the Eastern Coast of Africa, so can someone please explain why the Navy devoting resources to painting a bathroom in Thailand are?

The Navy and the military have a huge problem. We have let liberals define what the military is. In the eyes of the left, the military is not an organization for the protection of the country.

It is a glorified and gigantic public works project. In the eyes of the left, the military should be doing things like painting bathroom in some third world country.

The military has done a good job of subsidizing single parents and the left seems appalled with the military now needs these people and calls upon them to do their duty.

The left now wants to force their social norms (or some would argue abnormal social norms) on the military, regardless of what that would do to the ability of the military to perform its primary function, namely the defense of the United States.

Again, what is wrong with this picture?

Does anyone remember candidate Obama? Remember that hope and change guy, with the big smile, that left wing media swooned over in 2008?

Remember when he said, no one with incomes under $250,000 would see a tax increase under his regime.

Obama, you lied!

What Obama really meant was no one whose income was under $250 dollars would see a tax increase. Being the typical liberal he wants to find even more ways to generate tax dollars so he can have more money to spend.

Now, Obama wants to tax us per mile we drive.

Only in Obama land would such a plan be called the “Transportation Opportunities Act.” In Obama speak, opportunity means the opportunity to take more of our hard earned money and restrict our freedom even more.

In a nutshell, here is how the plan is supposed to work. Every American car would be fitted with an electronic devise so that you would pay your “vehicle mileage tax” or VMT.

The plan says there would be a device at the gas station that would automatically read your mileage and when you are buying your gas, your tax would be included in the purchase price.

Who would pay for this? The American taxpayer of course. If this devise were put in a new car, you would pay for that as a part of the cost of a new car.

For those who are smart enough to purchase and drive used cars, we would have to retrofit our cars. Guess who would pay for that?

Guess who would have to maintain that?

If it goes out, guess who has to pay to have it fixed?

Oh but wait. Like late night only on TV offers, this gets better.

Gas stations will have to pay for the new technology to read the devises and collect the taxes. They will have additional expenses. Guess who will be covering those expenses?

You got it Johnny!

We the people will!

This is the kind of stealth tax the government loves. Why? Because we do not realize we are paying it.

How much do we really pay in income taxes? Most of us don’t know. Why because it is withheld from our paychecks.

It is hard to complain about the money you never receive. If Americans actually had to write a check to pay their taxes, there would be riots in the streets!

Do you own a house? Then the expression PITI should be familiar to you. That is the acronym for the total amount you pay every month.

Guess what? The “T” stands for taxes. You don’t know how much your property taxes are because that is figured into your monthly payment.

Complaining about the price of gas? The government makes nineteen times the profit off of a gallon of case than the oil companies. Yet we never know it because we just keep paying.

Obama lies again. He wants to soak the poor, the middle class and anyone who takes a breath, with taxes. One of the symbols of freedom in America is the open road and the ability to take your car and just drive.

Another symbol of freedom is under attack by Obama and his regime. They probably won’t be happy until the private ownership of cars is a thing of the past.

Hopefully, the House of Representatives will have the good sense to make sure this proposal is dead on arrival.

I am finding it hard to fathom why we are calling Obama a hero in the death of a terrorist, Osama Bin Laden.

From all the news reports, it seems that it was our great military that carried out the mission, and put their lives on the line to protect each and every one of us.

Don’t get me wrong, I am extremely glad that OBL is no longer walking the soil of this earth as the next person. I have to wonder, why now? Is this part of Obama’s re-election plan?

That he needs to improve his record of leadership and running this country. And what better way to do that then to take out enemy number one.

As Congress returned to Washington, DC yesterday after their two week vacation, there was not one mention on the news about the economy, unemployment, debt-ceiling or the budget.

America’s problems still exist Mr. President, and you have probably added some more. We can all cheer that the mastermind of September 11, 2001 has been brought to justice, but this doesn’t come without a price. We entered another country without their knowledge and carried out a military operation.

Does our Commander-in-Chief not think there will be serious repercussions from this action? So much for foreign policy. I just hope that the hype from the outcome from this military action outweighs the possible fallout.

Bringing one terrorist to justice is not the makings of a great President, nor does it make him a hero. I am sure our Campaigner-in-Chief will ride out the glory in his attempt to be re-elected.

Nothing has really changed in his lack of leadership to turn our nation around and be on a road to prosperity; instead of the road that we are on that very soon ends at the edge of a cliff.

Our true heroes are our military, all the volunteers that are helping with the devastation in our southern states, all those that have made donations or sent supplies, every firefighter and emergency personnel, and each and every family that are doing whatever is necessary to get through these tough times and are preparing for tougher times ahead. These are the true heroes that do what they do each and every day….Thank you!

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need talent the caliber of the Obama regime.

They have managed to take what should have been a celebration of victory and make it almost anything but. Americans celebrated the death of our archenemy.

Obama looked like he was seriously inconvenienced. Did he even smile one time when he was making the speech?

Now that Team Obama has managed to totally FUBAR the situation, theories of all kinds are running through the Internet.

First, the Jihadists are spreading the story that Bin Laden is not really dead. This is one that will never go away. It could have with a prompt display of the evidence.

News reports say that members of the Obama regime consulted with Islamic experts to make sure that Bin Laden received a proper Islamic funeral.

Why?

That question has been debated and will continue to be debated. But by following the foolish idea that we must some how appease the Muslims by giving Bin Laden an Islamic funeral destroyed the best evidence we had that we had killed him.

Why was the Obama regime in such a hurry to dispose of the body?

Conspiracy theorists will go to the ends of the earth with that one. The simple answer is the Obama regime is too incompetent to handle anything this important.

Some of the other conspiracy theories are even more interesting. Some claim that Bin Laden was killed in Tora Bora in 2001 or died of kidney failure in 2001 to 2003.

A few have even claimed that Bin Laden’s body had been preserved in a morgue since then for use at an appropriate time.

Please, give me a break!

Does anyone really understand how much would be involved in a conspiracy like that? Does anyone really believe such a secret could have been kept for 5-10 years?

Does anyone really believe if that were true, it would not have come out in Wikileaks?

Does anyone really think that if Bin Laden had been killed by America in the 2001-2003 time frame, Bush and company would not have announced this right before the 2004 elections?

Remember how close that election was. Had Ohio gone they other way, Barack Obama would still be a Senator from Illinois and John Kerry would have had at least one term as President.

There is a truism in life. The simplest explanation is most likely the correct explanation.

The simplest explanation is, forty-eight hours ago; Seal Team Six from the United States Navy blew away the most wanted fugitive in the world.

The simplest explanation is also that there is not a thing in the world that Obama and his regime cannot screw up.

Team Obama is very good at running a campaign.

When it comes to actually running a government, they are an epic fail.

May 3, 2011

Listen to what Obama is telling our youth. We need to work with our college students for a common cause (restoring our Nation.)

They must understand that the older generation wants to leave them a legacy that they can wrap their arms around with pride.

Obama spoke to college students in a Virginia community college stating that they must mobilize because special interest groups in Washington will balance the federal budget by reducing educational spending and student aid.

He is attacking Americans via our youth and not even trying to disguise it this time around. This wicked person is using scare tactics saturated with lies and propaganda against our youth in order to win in 2012.

Obama is pretending that he has a budget in place to reduce the deficit by 4 billion and along with that he’s adding additional tax to those who have kept our country alive and well for years. He says he’s increasing spending for education while cutting the deficit by 4 trillion over a 12 year span.

Obama’s philosophy is sick and either he’s mentally unbalanced or just plain wicked; he’s going from college to college with the news that the GOP wants to reduce deficit on the backs of our youth.

As I mentioned in an earlier blog, he has enlisted the young entrepreneur who created Face book (Mark Zuckerberger) to assist him in promoting his propaganda.

So, while the Republicans are doing whatever Republicans do in the White House – Obama is raping our youth. We must stop this horrific crime that’s happening in front of our eyes!

I believe we have a wave of young college students who realize they were scammed in 2008 by Obama and they don’t want this to happen the second time. Read what some college students are doing in Iowa; they call themselves the College Republicans.

College Republicans Launch Ad In Iowa Focused On National Debt – please take time to see what some of our young people are doing. (1) They’ve done their homework, and (2) They have joined us in our fight to “take back our country.”

Go here to view their blog and watch their excellent video.
A 22 year-old created this video – he’s just starting to warm up as he learns about politics.

Two thoughts come to mind. First, if we join College Republicans and other youth groups we can help them educate other young people about the crimes committed against our country in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Obama will not have his way with our youth of America in 2012!

Secondly, where were we when our Government was taken from us – no longer a government of the people, for the people or by the people? I truly apologize for all of us who sat by and complacently let this happen to our children.

To our Tea Party Nation, Latino friends and African American friends of all ages – please join us and support our College Republicans and other youth organizations that have joined the fight against the Obama Administration.

So, while the Republicans are doing whatever Republicans do in the White House – Obama is raping our youth. We must stop this horrific crime that’s happening right under our noses!

America we must join our youth and restore our Nation – we can’t continue trying to be politically correct; our kids are the future and let’s stop Obama in his tracks by following the wonderful roadmap (our Constitution) that our forefathers prepared for each and everyone.

“May God Bless America”

As Always,
Little Tboca
